There is no handwork content tonight but there is something I very
much love to share with you.
It is this scenery. Maybe you are already tired of
looking at the lake every single spring about this time, but these evenings are
so breath taking. The lake has been gone (covered by the ice) for so long that
now that it is back, it is constant joy...
Tonight is very calm, not a stir on the surface and you can see the
beautiful reflection of the sky. You can stand right there on the edge of the
lake and look down and all you see is the sky. There are no leaves in the
trees, no grass, nothing to hush down the sounds, so the birds and their cries
echo purely, just perfect music for the early summer night.
And don't forget the light, almost 10pm and the sun is still here,
kissing softly every surface.
Our winters, harsh, long, bitter cold, dark and at times dreary. All
worth it when May arrives!
I will close now and then will take my evening cup of tea and drink it down by the lake listening to this wonderful world. I just looked out
of the window, Mr Cat is already there, he is probably waiting for me.
Be well,
Lene
That first picture is amazing !!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to live ;-)
It is always a joy to read and see what you have posted. It allows me to dream a bit and see another part of the world as well as such wonderful artistic skills you have. I am never disappointed. Pls. keep on blogging whatever it is.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your photos as much as your handwork, both are breathtaking and thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I find it truly fascinating to see how where we live in the world shapes our lives. The difference between your winter and summer seasons must be so extreme compared to mine here in North Wales but perhaps the harsh winters are compensated for by the springs!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your delight at the beauty of your landscape. Time spent in the contemplation of our landscape is time well spent.
ReplyDeleteI love water, it is relaxing, exciting, soothing, exhilarating. I now live in the Midwest of the US, and beautiful water can be difficult to find with ease. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteStunning! From the first image, I felt that I could take a deep breath and smell the cool, clean air. Thank you so much for sharing these pictures - I will come back and visit your lake-scape again!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful lake. I was right there on the edge of the lake with your description. I could hear the echo of the birds.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing these beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteBe well,
Meredith

Amazing photos! good job!
ReplyDeleteLovely title: Dances with wool
Lovely photos and they set such a calming mood. Is that a bat house on the tree in that last photo?
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty pictures...I find myself coming back here just to see them again. I hope you don't mind, but I've actually set the third on as my screen's wallpaper here at work. The light in that one is so beautiful.
ReplyDeletePiipahdin käymään täällä sun blogissa heti :) vöyrillä kyselin minkä nimistä blogia kirjoitat :)
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of seeing the scenery around your home. It looks amazing as always. Enjoy your tea.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, when Spring finally comes it's worth getting excited about. I live in Arizona now, but I grew up in Northern Michigan where snow came in the middle of October and stayed until late May or even June. I miss the dramatic change between winter and summer nights, here it changes but it's not nearly so dramatic.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful pictures!
We all miss you!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a few hours of daylight to enjoy the lake a bit more! Time to tuck in and knit!
ReplyDeleteI look for you each and every day and pray that a "busy life" is the only reason for your hiatus. Sending you peace...wishing you well...today and always.
ReplyDeleteGood blog you have here.. It's difficult to find high quality writing like yours nowadays.
ReplyDeleteIhonestly appreciate individuals like you! Take care!!
