Tina insists that seeing a dog just brings you lots of joy, so here is to you from her, stay well and be happily tucked in your cosy little hay beds (as she is here in her little house)!I completed the Qiviuk muffatees.
Added the little bird motif, it is embroidered on a little knit label that can be folded inside.
To give the muffatees some extra colour I beaded few green beads to the yarn. The other one looks the same as in the last post. I did not have any volunteers for pictures today.
There has been some changes in blogger and when the need to uppgrade the template came, I changed it. But it needs some more work which I hope I have time for some other day. I was not sure whether to have a blue or a green template but then chose the green. Have to go and see what is said about the colour green and its impact...
Happy New Year to you, too, Lene, and to your family (two-legged and four-legged). Looking forward to seeing many more lovely things here.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Lucy's pictures bring a smile to your face every day! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAll the best for a good and sweet New Year to all your family & menagerie. At our house, even if cats are first seen, I am kept busy returning all the balls of yarn they purloin to their storage containers. So there'll be no laziness!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Lene!
ReplyDeleteDrats. I saw a cat first.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is 3pm and I still haven't done a thing today, so the legend must be true. *sigh*
Happy New Years, Lene!
Green is the color of growth, a good thing. Green is also known to be a calming color; that's why it's often used for waiting rooms. I like the new look. The first animal I see every day is my cat Sadie. Cats and knitting seem to go together, so I think knitting productivity must be an exception to the rule.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Lene!
ReplyDeleteI like the new blog look. And it fits into your year of colour, too. May the knitting muses inspire you to great achievements in 2007. My 2007 knitting goal...to learn to spin my own yarn. So, I signed up for a drop spindle class. I'm so excited I may not make it until February 8th!
I like the new color and you know who in Seattle probably likes it too!
ReplyDeleteCute horse. I like the little bird label. Birds are messengers to heaven or the spirits or whatever you believe in because they are at home in both the air and on the ground. A fitting motif I believe.
ReplyDeleteI had to go through the blogger transition pain too. Personally, I think the green is a bit bright. But maybe you are tired of looking at blue?
Hi Lene
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Love those "muffatees" (who knew that "muffatee" is a word?)!
I like BLUE!!!!!!!
Margie
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I spent the night away. When we came home we were greeted by a cat demanding her breakfast! She was most annoyed with us and scolded us for leaving her. I'm glad she was not the first thing we saw when we woke up :-)
happy new year lene! i like the new blog color—the green is like a splash of lime sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThe green is very refreshing. A new colour for a new year. May it be filled with knitting and wonderful tales to tell all of us. :)
ReplyDeleteLuckily I spotted the horse first.
Happy New Year, Lene! I love the green. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Lene!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! beautiful Muffatees, the beading is wonderful! And the little bird label is so cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Lene. Whoa! I thought I'd taken a wrong turn in the Blogosphere at first. I do like the colour green, the fonts will take some getting used to though. The first creature I laid eyes on was Arthur, the Russian Blue cat. He is my wake up call each and every morning. I also see the squirrels early in the morning, trying to eat their way into my kitchen. I am glad they were not my first contact of the day otherwise I would be scrambling around this year. I prefer a more calm pace. Good knitting in 2007.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI wake up every morning to two sweet cats snuggled in my bed...I'd have to get a bigger bed if I wanted to fit a horse in there so I could see one first thing on new year's day!
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the bigger bedroom comment above - I saw two cats and not a horse yesterday as well!
I have been dying to try some quiviut, but haven't found any just yet. My Christmas present from the people who went to the mill in Canada turned out to be a gorgeous soft alpaca/bamboo combination, so I'll be working with that first...
Happy New Year! I'm sure the picture of Tina can bring nothing but joy and good luck for at least a year. It must be great having a dog who takes such an interest in your blog. Thanks for the horse picture, too.
ReplyDeleteI wake up next to my husband Lene ..I'm not judging mind ...each to their own and Horses are in real short supply in Inner-city England.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting the horse there, but alas, I'm a day late.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tina, seeing a dog does indeed bring me lots of joy, thank you, Tina!
I love the new look, it's very fresh, green is my favourite colour.
I only have dogs to look at, so I hope they encourage knitting this coming year!
ReplyDeleteHow many hours of daylight are you enjoying now? At least you must enjoy knitting by the fire with hot cups of ......!
Happy New Year to you and yours!
I love the drawing of your horse and your new template is verrrry nice. Definitely love the color green. What a great idea to incorporate your little bird to a label for your gorgeous muffatees. Give Tina a nice petting for me.
ReplyDeleteOnnellista Uutta Vuotta Lene!
ReplyDeleteLOL! The frist thing I saw New years morning was the koira chassing the kissa.
What does that mean?
korianne ja kissanne hakea rauhallinen.
I just found your blog, and now have to go back and read the archives. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I must agree with Tina that seeing a dog at any point brings joy. She's marvelous, and your post about her and her houseguests is priceless.
