Pom poms - forever and ever

You didn't think that I  would finish anything anymore ever without pom poms, did you? (Is that sentence right?)
This is my version of the Baktus-scarf.
I used two skeins of Rowan Colourspun (135m/50g) 72% wool, 14% mohair, 14% polyamid and 3 skeins of Hjertegarn Vidal Alpaca (127m/50g)  100% alpaca and 4mm (US5.5) needles.
Hope you have a good weekend and thank you for all the kind words and for coming by every day even though you all must be busy at the moment. I am off to kitchen now, I'll listen to carols and bake some Christmas bread next.

Wool (and flour) with you,
Lene

(PS. My dear girl... she managed half a smile even though she has done a lot of modeling this month... )

  2. I love the solid red edge! I wish you would write up the pattern. Thanks for the tip about the History Chicks. I listened to an episode while I wrapped presents yesterday and really enjoyed it.

  3. I've never been a big fan of pom-poms but yours look so nice, full, and provide the perfect finishing touch that I'm really rethinking. I'm with becky; I'd love it if you ever had time to write up the pattern. I would definitely add pom-poms!

Your posts never take too much time out of our schedules. All of them are a joy. It was like our personal Advent calendar from north of the Arctic Circle each day. Simply delightful. We loved the dog "talking" impatiently, waiting for the walk to start, the lovely cardigan with the headless, bad-hair day model, reading with joy of your having your firstborn on Christmas Eve long ago.....everything. Each was a simple little "window" of joy all through our Advents. It was fun. Hope to continue to hear from you as the sun returns to the North, after her time in "the nest". You are a wonderful writer. And how do you make two cuffs on your mittens? Thank you for all your time bringing us such enjoyment. Renee (backwoods of Wisconsin)
