These I remember were knitted with Trekking XXL. Lately I have been knitting my socks quite high, which means that there is some shaping. They are almost identical but not quite, I did
not dare to unwind the ball for the right spot, since I was almost in the right
place, I was afraid of running out of yarn...
Just to find out in the end that
I had one full color repeat left...

PS. This is what happens to floors when you have dogs...They do look bad when you zoom at them.
such pretty colour combination...is this your standard go-to recipe for heels? ive never tried this way. looks interesting! my wood stairs look the same but it is clean and that is fine. :D
ReplyDeleteI love those colors. I have had great luck with Trekking. It really holds up well!
ReplyDeleteI have oak floors and dogs; I understand!
ReplyDeleteABout pompoms - I made one of two colors: wrap white for a while,, then wrap blue for a while. They are random-design, and I like them a lot.

lovely socks! Would like to see your basic sock pattern one day. Wooden floors? Oh boy - you ought to see mine! They are 160 years old and well used!
ReplyDeleteI have several guides for matching socks. Mostly I don't and sometimes for one pair I knit two semi-related patterns out of the same yarn.. Reason is simple if someone is examining my feet/socks that closely they better be up to no good and not terribly interested in my socks!
ReplyDeleteLove stripped socks. Probably my favorite.
