and air. And they were light!
I bought this pair (this link takes you to the shop) last winter and thought about embroidering them, and
still might do it, but I love them so much that I don't want to take them off
the use until they are done. (All my projects linger for such a long time always
that it might easily take years to get them done.)
They have rubber soles so that you can truly use them, but the ones I had as a child, never had those.

(Check these, aren't they great!)
Lene, I live in the U.S., and it has been so nice this month to know when I wake up that there is a new post waiting from you. . .
ReplyDeleteAnd how I love those red boots!
The boots look jolly and warm! The photo of the trees and the pale light is beautiful. It really gives of sense of the awesome shortening of the days. I live far south in the U.S., so I never see such short days. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese boots look much more practical (and prettier!) for keeping feet warm than the leather or rubber ones worn in the US. I especially love your snow scene with the lovely pinkish sky. Thank you for giving us the gift of your photos and words!
ReplyDeleteI was happily reading along thinking pretty Wellies until I hit the word embroider! Wow I would never have thought of felted boots standing up to snowy weather but it makes sense and I bet they are beautifully warm. I'm enjoying your December posts very much.
ReplyDeleteThe boots look so cozy and warm. I loved the cowl that you posted recently and bought the pattern. Hopefully I'll be able to start it soon. Happy holidays to you. Your posts are delightful.
ReplyDeleteVery timely! have been looking at similar felt boots and wondering if they would work as my chore boots this winter. My old boots are literally falling apart.
ReplyDeleteRed is such a great colour.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm lovely warm feet !!!
ReplyDeleteYes we're nearing Solstice ! (though WE don't have really
winter yet over here ....)
Just yesterday I read about felt boots in One Day in the life of Ivan Denisovich! Your look much cozier and cheerier than those in the gulags were, I am sure. They are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe most beautiful red boots ever, but I'm grateful to live where winters are milder. Snow is the exception, rather than the rule. Brrr!

I know where the sun is! It's way down here, shining on the South Island of NZ and keeping us from sleeping. How about we send it back your direction pretty soon? ;-)
