I made a pair for the swatch.
And immediately had to make another pair.
It has been very warm during the last few days. Today the temperature climbed up to 27C/80F and this is very rare. After long and cold and dark winter, this is absolutely heaven.
Wool, as always,
Lene
The mitts are so beautiful, you will be all ready for chilly weather in a few months.

Nämä harmaat ovat erittäin kauniit, vaikka pidän noista toisistakin. Meillä on todella kaunis ja lämmin toukokuu ollut tänä vuonna. Nauttikaamme!
ReplyDeleteI really love all the mitts you are doing.Georgious.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous! Everything you knit is given a special touch!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and enjoy warmer weather!
Your mitts are beautiful. I especially love the grey ones with the terra cotta flower. The flowers and beads are such a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteYour mitts are beautiful. You create such wonderful things. Both are pretty. Happy sunshine!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always, you are so talented to be able to create such wonderful custom mitts.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the pattern....?
Are those appliqued? Love them! I'd love to know how you do this!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely mitts, Lene! Seems like you're expecting the warm weather to disappear soon. I also do my cold weather knitting in any season.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty. I love the way you decorate the knit work. Summers here are short as well so knitting mittens during it makes perfect sense to me. That way they are set to go for winter. :-)
ReplyDeleteCute, Cute, Cute!!! Love them.
ReplyDeleteThe "tulip ones" blew me away completely. Such magical, gorgeous work!!
ReplyDeleteYou are such an artist, I love watching the evolution of your design, simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour mitts are just gorgeous, love the colors in the first pair. Love the idea of the embroidery on top. I love the cabling on the tulip pair. Such simple touches make such beautiful work.

The gray ones are remarkably similar to a pair I am working on, except that mine have sea life instead of botanical life! I love yours!
ReplyDeleteI feel like a broken record. I always seem to come here and just say "Beautiful. Gorgeous. So pretty!" But really, your work is lovely...you are such an inspiration. Now I want to make mitts with appliques. But I know they won't be as beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJust heavenly.
I have just knit a similiar pair or mitts for my daughter's birthday (which isn't until November). I would love to applique and embroider them, as well. Which brings me to my question. Do you stretch the knit fabric before you sew on the applique?
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog, by the way. I have read through all your archives and I adore everything you make! I also appreciate the lovely, peaceful atmosphere of your blog. It is a very calming place to be :)
