One sleeve to go

I don’t know where this day has gone, but it is dark, the sun has set some time ago and I am drinking my last cup of tea before calling this a day. I knit for a little while and managed to get few rounds to Fall Colours sleeve. I finished the long rows of ribbing to the body over the weekend and last night cast off the first sleeve so there is one long sleeve to go – and it does seem like a very long. This sweater is turning into something else than I pictured in the first place and I have been knitting this freely and willing to make changes along the way. The ribbing got a bit overwhelming and I took a little sidetrack. And now that I am getting close to completion, it is time to bring out new beauties.
Long sleeves to you all!

I love how every single one of your posts will have something in it to make me smile. I love the extra embroidery! She looks so happy, kicking up her heels. :) And the ribbing texture, while maybe a pain to knit, certainly photographed well. I really wanted to reach through the computer screen to pet the new yarn too. Just lovely, all of it! Thank you for sharing, as always.

  3. To have the sun setting earlier is a little sad, and it is happening here too. That is the cycle of life. However, I do adore your embroidery and your little signature bird, how wonderful it is.

  9. Your knitting, as always, is beautiful, but it is how your mix it with embroidery that I find truly inspiring. Like your French Market bag, this makes me think of trying new things! Thank you!!

  18. Your embroidery makes your knits even more special as the quailty of the embroidery is superb. I do plan to attempt embroidering one of these days. Could you recommend your favorite book on embroidering knits? Are there any? How did you learn this?
