More colours

These were the colours on the other side of the lake few hours ago. I had to show you this although I know it is sort of a cliché... The bright green just jumped at me and it feels like I'm finding new colours every day now. I cast on for a new pair of Monkey socks and the colour is as orange as orange gets. More of them later...

  3. That image wants to be knitted up. Or dyed into wool.

  4. The second your post opened and the first thing I saw was the photo and I thought...green, the green is back.
    Beautiful, quite breathtaking, thank you.
I've also jumped on the Monkey wagon... last night.

  5. One of those beautiful photos that could be turned upside down and you would question which was the clear image and which the reflection.
I am so happy that natural greens are back in your life!

Your lake is such an enticing place - do you paddle on it by canoe or kayak? You have such an eye for color and texture. Thank you for sharing it in your beautiful pictures. My wonderful DH always takes way more time in the loo than I do when we travel, providing time for me to quietly knit on a small travel project that works in memories of (not the waiting but of) the trip. If I don't take knitting, I take a small sketch book. I do wish you luck with the determination to enjoy the moment in a different way!

I love the photos of your surroundings as much as the photos inside your house and as much as the photos of your knitting. I love all your photos, and while I'm certain I couldn't survive your winter, I think I would happily trade you summers. (I live in Baltimore, Mryland)

  12. That photo of the lake looks just like a watercolour painting ... it must be so exciting for you to see some greens after the winter white! I finished my first pair of Monkeys last week, it's a nice fun pattern even for a newbie sock knitter like me ;-) Thanks for sharing the view!

  14. I hope you don't mind but I would like to use the photo of your lake in some homework for the C & G Handknitting course I am on, it won't be in any commercial use, I just need a picture with colours I like in, to use for some colour theory execises and this is perfect!

Now this is truly beautiful. An impressionist painting. Or Mondrian's early work. I so enjoy the photos you post of your life.

Halfway through my first pair of Monkeys and I just keep planning which yarns for the next pair and the pair after that. Addictive and fun.
