I just got home from the town and opened the package that had come with the mail today and had to show you this right away... The yarn is lovely, the colours rich and the pattern beautiful. Perfect! But now excuse me, I will have to knit for a short while before bed time.PS. I bought Tudor Roses from Jannettes Rare Yarns.
Have fun with your new project! I'm sure it will be gorgeous in your more than capable hands.
ReplyDeleteOh! Beautiful! I can't wait to see progress shots. :)
ReplyDeleteYou really jumped in with both feet! :-) Henry VIII, wow. I can't wait for you to get started! Go wind some yarn, please??? :-)
ReplyDeleteAt least it lasted long enough for you to take a picture! Love the re-worked hem and bands.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! The starting is the best part. I loved my kit from Virtual yarns. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love that pattern. I can't wait to see it knit up. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's going to keep you busy for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe sweater is breath-taking as are the colours....so very rich and beautiful. Happy you!
ReplyDeleteThe yarn looks very exciting; those colours!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to wait to get started on them either.
Enjoy!
The colors of the sweater are so beautiful. It looks as if it could keep you warm on two fronts...the actual sweater and the lovely warm colors. I know that it will be exquisite coming from your hands. There is a lovely children's book in this country about a mouse who gathers all of the colors and warmth of his world. All of the other mice are busy gathering seeds etc. for the long winter, but guess who saves the day when winter's cold hand embraces them all in the stone wall? This story, though a twist on a familiar old tale, always warms my heart. Thanks for sharing all of the beauty you create.
ReplyDeleteWow! When you jump in, you jump IN! What fun! What beautiful colors! Can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteDoes she sell kits? I looked and did not find anything other than the book and yarns.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - love the yarn. I have the book - and its so tempting to buy the kit...can't wait to see your progress.

ReplyDeleteIt seems I'll have to change my mind on the comment I made the other day about Fair Isle pattern not suiting me. This one that you have pictured is absolutely gorgeous and I'd try it on if I saw it in the store. I love those rich colors.
ReplyDeleteNow I see I simply have not done enough searching for the right patterns.
That is going to be lovely!
ReplyDeleteLene those colors are absolutely gorgeous! The pattern looks rather daunting to me, but I've not done any sort of fair isle yet ... that kit looks like it will keep your knitting needles busy for a while! Looking forward to the progress shots!
ReplyDeleteThat will be just gorgeous, I will follow your progress with interest as I too am just venturing into the world of fair isle!( i am not as experienced at the knitting as you though)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colors, what a lovely project -- can't wait for more!
ReplyDeleteI clicked on your picture for the full size and gazed with sheer admiration at the rich hues of the yarns, and the incredible pattern. Can hardly wait to watch it take shape in your skillful hands.
ReplyDeleteYou really do like a challenge, don't you? And I agree with LaurieM: this delicious bit, when you can't wait to get started on the new project, is definitely the best of all! Good luck, bonne chance, go n'eiri an t-adh leat (how do I say it in Finnish?)
ReplyDeleteOh god, how is it possible to knit so perfectly???? I'm very impressed!
ReplyDeleteAnd the yarns are gorgeous!
