Lazy Days

The break from the blog became longer than I meant. Since last time I got sick and have really felt not good at all... I am overwhelmed of the lovely comments and warm wishes you have sent my way. Thank you so much for each one of them. The sofa seems to be the very best place at the moment so that is where I'm heading now. Oh, my place is already taken ...

Lene, I'm sure Tina will share her warmth :). Welcome back.

  2. There's nothing stupid about that dog.

As I see it, you have two choices. Tell her to move over, or give up and go back to bed.

    Feel better soon, friend.

  3. That dog is SO CUTE! Aw give her a pat for me. :) She looks very happy.

Since I don't think you'll be allowed on the couch by yourself, I hope the extra body heat (and sympathy) helps you feel better. Rest up and I hope you feel better soon.

I am so happy Stephanie had a link to your blog recently. I love reading what you are up to and seeing the pictures. I live in the U.S., in the state of Indiana. We have winter and snow, but it just does not seem so picturesque.

I want you to know especially that I am in love with your knitted frends/creatures. I love their pictures and admire your creativity. I am a beginning knitter and am always working on my skills. Someday I hope to have creatures, too.

I hope you feel better soon. I would bring you chicken noodle soup (an American get well tradition)and something good to read if I were anywhere near you.

    Your blog brightens my days.

Get well soon! Surely a dog with a face that sweet will share her spot. :)

I just discovered your blog and wanted to tell you how much I enjoy it!

  9. Ha! I often find my spot on the couch (on the bed, in front of the stove...) taken by a certain canine companion.
Tina, Rudy says you are obviously a generous and kind spirit, to allow your human up on the sofa with you :)

We have a beagle who spends all day, every day, under the duvet on our bed--which he will dismantle to make his den. I expect this behaviour will cease when the weather warms up enough for him. The great thing about dogs is how they show us the value of living in the moment!
Get well soon, with Tiina's good care...

  13. LOL, she was just warming the couch for you and made it so cozy she fell asleep.
Elise does that for me too sometimes, actually so often that she thinks the couch is hers now.

I would snuggle up with Miss Tina, she looks like such a love!

I'm sooooo glad you're back. The world seems much brighter today. Thanks!

I hope you feel much better soon. I have had back-to-back sinus infections all winter -- being sick is such a drag.

    My thoughts are with you.

    you have quite a dilemma

  16. I hope you feel better soon. Perhaps illness explains some of your funk.

You aren't a failure when your attempts don't work, you are only a failure when you stop trying. I've realized this as I attempt to adjust to a healthier life-style, AGAIN. I'd rather try another time, than quit.

Hope you're over the worst of the sickness - Tina is one absolutely beautiful baby.

So glad you're back. At first I wondered why you had three pictures the same of Tiina. Then I looked again, and saw the eyes. She has such a happy smile. I'm sure it's because she knows that there are comforts in the house that even the best dog house can't provide, and she knows how to get them--as you said, look cute and miserable at the same time. Clever girl. Please get well soon Lene.

And your skills at photography are nothing to scoff at, either! (Of course, you did have a very photogenic subject for this series....!)

    Be well soon!

Sending healing thoughts your way. The couch is always the best place to be when feeling sick...in our house it was the place of honor. Anyone tucked in there by Mommy was given a special back rub until they fell asleep. Looks like Tina didn't need it.

Dear Lene, it is so nice to see you back today. Tina is absolutely lovely! I hope that you are soon feeling well again--we missed you.

  24. NOr!

    Is that the lovely Tina?

She's not outside in her little red house stuffed with straw, with the mice?

    Hope you're feeling better

  26. Why am I so surprised that Tina is in the house? Oh yeah, it's really really cold there ;^)
She is such a beauty! That quilt is stunning and the two of them together? absolutely delightful.
She won't mind sharing, just nudge her over a bit, she'll enjoy your company.
    Feel better soon.

  30. May times during the day, I need to remind my dear Gypsy that the right end of the couch is mine. I like to think that she's just keeping it warmed up for me.

  31. Lene, I came upon your blog from the Yarn Harlot. What a beautiful country you live in. I truly admire your "creatures" and am wondering if you sell them. Your dog is adorable. I can tell she is well loved. Thank-you for sharing your days.

  34. Ha! I shared my love seat sized sofa with my greyhound yesterday! She acts like a little dog. Your dog is a beauty!
There is way too much sickness going around. Today I am feeling good after a 2 and a half day migraine. Sounds like you're on the mend too.
