We Finns are known to be a quiet people. And it is very true. We don't talk much nor know how to talk, except to our Nokias and that phenomenon is quite new. Now on this beautiful, sunny and perfect Sunday I'm going to behave like a real Finn and give you only these pictures without words. These are all very Finnish...white birch trees... evergreens... a log houseand a Finnish Spetshund.
PS. I probably wouldn't be quite this Finnish today if it wouldn't be Sunday and if there was not someone breathing behind my back waiting to come to the computer.
It looks very cold in Finland! Hopefully spring will come your way soon. Have some hot coffee and warm pulla, it will get you through. I have Finnish friends and they showed me how to make the pulla, with cardamom which is such a good flavour. By the way, thanks for the recipe which you gave a while ago.
How lovely! We had a warm weekend in MN and most of our snow is gone and my bulbs are coming up in the front garden. The tulips are a few inches long already.
Essence of Finland -- very enjoyable and much appreciated.

ReplyDeleteVery nice pics. What's a spetshund? Very nice looking dog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors, despite the monochromes of winter.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain...about the breathing-down-your-neck-to-get-at-the-computer thing.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are lovely!
