Miss B's Mittens

This is what I saw the other morning when I let the dogs out...

It was Miss B (short for Badger) trotting towards the house. I could see she was in distress.

She was already settled in her cosy nest for hibernating when this unexpected heat wave struck the country. It started to rain and her place got so damp, she wasn't any more tucked snugly in her bed. She could not sleep (with age she has been getting sleeping problems). So she got up. I made her a cup of hot chocolate and she told me, she was not going back and was going so stay up the whole winter.

It will be nice to have her around. She can listen (her ears aren't just pieces of flesh stuck on both sides of her head, she really uses them, which is quite rare these days) and she is also a story teller. She has been around a while, so she has gained wisdom and understanding, her heart is solid gold (I didn't think that was possible until I met her) so she can be of great help with the girls. She never ever gives you any advice before you ask for it.

She is a knitter. She had been stranded on a domino island for quite some time now, so she was most happy to hear there was a mitten knit along.

She already made one pair.

I like her knitting bag. I would like to have alike. The dimensions are about 6 cm x 6 cm (abt 2,5 x 2,5 inches).

She tells me she would like to knit a lacy shawl for herself. She is tired of the garter stitch one. If she gets aroung knitting one I'll keep you posted.
